You never know what will happen in a month.  This was a month of high winds, destructive squirrels, chicken cleaning, tractor riding and family reunions.

We lost a big branch from our pecan tree, and the wind blew the corn down.  The corn recovered; the branch didn't.

We have a squirrel that runs across our deck now and again.  I am only assuming it is the same squirrel since we don't have very many.  This one has discovered it's easy to rip up the weather-worn patio chair covers and steal the stuffing.  He or she (either one, I looked it up) will have a nice soft nest this winter.

Jim decided to raise meat chickens this year.  That's all well and good until butchering time.  That certainly wasn't the fun part, but by the time all 23 were butchered he was getting into the swing of things and planning for next year.

This Paislee visit ended with a tractor ride.  There are two Grandpas with old John Deere tractors and I don't know who started the rides that night.

Every other year, provided there isn't a pandemic getting in the way, Jim's family has a reunion.  Due to late notice and prior commitments there were only about 25 there. A small handful compared to the family tree.
