The bathroom is well on it's way to the finish. So, Jim is working on the ceiling. Here he is working on some water lines above the hallway ceiling that need hooking up before the ceiling tiles go up.
The ceiling is nearly done in the family room. The next job is the vent placement in the duct work. It isn't quite finished because it is easier to take out tiles that haven't been fastened in by the grids.
One half the the main floor is finished.
Now the other half. All the stuff that gets moved around from place to place will soon find it's permanent home. I am determined that some will find it's home elsewhere and not in this house.
We can call the bathroom finished now, except for the heating vents here, as well. The door is installed. It's hard to see even if it isn't clear glass. There is a wavy sort of pattern on it.
And the mirror. The towel rings are on the left side of the mirror. I forgot to take a picture.
The light fixture looks bronze here. It isn't, it's brushed nickel like everything else.
The globes are really pretty with this bubbly pattern. This one, if you know where to look has a crack. After we spent some time getting our two globes to match, even the bubbly ones weren't all the same, crashing them together by accident, meant going back to look for another.
Jim is hard at work on the trim boards and the hallway floor. One minor digression was removing the door between the laundry room and the hall way. I wish I had a "before" photo, it would make the "after" photo (which I don't have because the lighting wasn't right and I am sitting down after unloading what photos I have and don't want to get up and it's dark and cloudy anyway) show the change.
No door, no trim, just a sheetrocked and painted opening.
We hardly ever use that door, except when we move it to sweep behind it, and as one of Jim's sister's said when we mentioned getting rid of it, said, "what door?"
